Hangame Japan Registration Guide V.2

Hello bloggers, due to the success that my previous Hangame Japan Registration Guide had, I will be posting an updated version of the guide. The registration page has had changes, this will help you get through Step 1 of the process, which is usually the most daunting for most of those without a hint of Japanese language.

Let me know if this guide works for you, and if you have any questions post them and I will try to reply to the best of my abilities.

As of September 27th of 2010, the Emil Chronicle of Malasya servers will be shut down. Here is the official announcement on their website. It shows that they even took their time to try and make the English sound somewhat coherent *sarcasm*:

Yet another game that I used to play (last year) is shutting down. I'm not too disappointed though, the game certainly had a long lifespan and I bet a lot of people had fun playing it while it lasted. But with new online games coming out by the hundreds every year, the market is getting very competitive. Games that only survive because of a certain niche or fan base are prone to be shut down sooner or later. Don't be surprised if your favorite game from "back in the day" suddenly shuts down next.

On another note, some people suggest that since this game was originally developed by Gravity, it is rumored that maybe they decide to relaunch a server of their own.

That's it for this post guys, and for Emil Chronicle RUNUP as well.

Bye bye Bright Shadow

Hello dear bloggers and MMORPG fans.
So today I was checking my email and I found a most interesting surprise... it turns out the recently released MMORPG Bright Shadow Online is shutting down by October 31st.
The email reads as following:

"Dear Bright Shadow players,

First of all, we would like to show our gratitude for all the players who have played Bright Shadow. Sadly, we regret to tell you that the world of Bright Shadow will be closing in late October. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and thank you for playing.

As a result, no PotCash items will be able to be purchased starting September 1, 2010. During this time, the servers will be set to the highest EXP rate for those who choose to venture further into the world of Bright Shadow.
The servers will officially shut down on October 31, 2010.

Once again, we would like to thank all the players who have stuck with us to the very end. At this time, as a token of gratitude we would like to offer some other fine games we have at GamepotUSA. For being a former Bright Shadow player, we are offering free PotCash to those who try out one of our other two games available. For more information click on one of the games below."

I was informed of this by a friend earlier today, we kind of predicted that this game would end up shutting down.
We even quit playing this game when we realized there was no point in leveling up our characters, as there is no pvp or guild war system. Either way, the game itself had some pretty interesting concept and it is most upsetting that they will just shut it down without putting up a good fight. It makes sense though if the company isn't making money from it. As a result, a lot of people have really low hopes on the company's two other games.

Apparently another game that is being shut down soon is Emil Chronicles. I will talk about that on the next post, until then, cya :D

Here again~

Today I got a sudden urge to play a game called DarkEden Online, I am playing in a private server. Decided to play as a Fire Ouster :P and got to lvl 100 quite cool if you ask me.

I also started reading the book "Persuasion" by Jane Austen yesterday, but so far I am quite confused as to what is going on. Too many characters are being introduced right after another, and the story just adds more and more things with ever turn of a page. A real chaos! But hopefully it will get gradually better.

Finally, I decided to make some time to watch a movie I haven't had the pleasure to enjoy. 「おくりびと」 better known in the US as "Departures". I will go watch it in a few minutes. I'll let you know how it turns out :)

See ya!

Persuasion

Hello my dear bloggers!
As my 500+ readers might have noticed, I edited the layout. This is because I am back and ready to post daily, if possible. I will pretty much just ramble about internet and such. After moving to a new apartment last week, I finally got my internet back. In consequence of my great amount of free time, I started reading novels by Jane Austen. I finished "Pride and Prejudice" just yesterday, and I thought it was amazingly charming. I am not going to spoil it for you by discussing what happened in the book, but I assure it is quite the great read. I will start reading "Persuasion" in a few minutes
, a very nice girl at school told me that it would be a very interesting story, although quite short in comparison to the rest of Austen's novels. She also offered to let me borrow "Sense and Sensibility" upon my request. What a nice gesture!

Also, I am very anxious as to hear from the University of Texas at Dallas, my best hopes are to get accepted. I've been checking my mailbox and my email inbox daily in hopes to hear something from them. Sadly, nothing surprising shows up. I also noticed a halt to offers from universities.

Well, I have to go now, see ya!

Ahhhh! It's been a while!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long, it is just that some other things keep me distracted...
Anyways, I am going to start playing this game called "Holy Beast" from Japan, actually, I am going to start all over again... I used to play like... a year ago, but then since I had to reformat my computer, I ended up not downloading it again.

I installed it yesterday, and I shall review it soon!

iPod Touch?

I've been thinking about getting an iPod Touch for my bday, but I'm not sure... My first option was to get a PSP xD But a lot of my friends said that it sucks, so , I was like "well, I might get an iPhone then..." That's when someone told me that I have to get a contract with At&t and... hell no I don't want that haha, I like t-mobile and besides... I bought a $200 cellphone a couple of months ago anyways...
So then someone suggested to get an iPod Touch, I did some research and it looks great, it is pretty much like an iPhone... the only thing is that it is obviously not a phone.
I am still uncertain about this, I don't know what other things I could want for my bday, there's honestly nothing I really want. :P
